For decades, our representatives have been shouting from the sidelines…

While decisions about our roads, schools, and land are made behind closed doors.

The 41st District is tired of being an afterthought. While developers moonwalk to the bank with the profits, our roads crumble and our schools overflow.

I’m Ryan Stuckey, and I’m running for State Representative because we deserve a seat at the table where the actual decisions are made. Lets not just send a vote to Dover; lets send a Sussex County voice to the room where the budget is written.

Infrastructure First

Schools First

Sussex First

I own a coffee shop on Main Street in Dagsboro. I sit in that traffic behind out-of-towners and hear from my neighbors every morning about the problems facing our community - but most of all how the area can't keep up.

We need fresh eyes on these problems. As a small business owner, I have to solve problems every single day to keep my doors open. That’s the mindset I aim to bring up north. I'm not a real estate investor, or a career politician - I'm a Sussex County boy with main street common sense.

What our community needs

  • Saying 'no' to every project doesn't stop people from moving here; it just means we lose the chance to have developers pay their fair share for the problems they cause, and price our own kids out of the community they grew up in. My opponents build the subdivisions that clog our roads. I want to build the code that preserves our character.

  • It shouldn't take 30 minutes to drive to Food Lion on a Tuesday night. We're approving THOUSANDS of units on two-lane country roads. That's not progress, it's negligence. I'll fight to ensure that before a single shovel hits the dirt, the turning lane is paved and the traffic light is paid for. If a developer wants to build something in your backyard, they'd better pay for the road that leads to it, so WE don't have to with higher taxes.

  • Sussex tax dollars shouldn't be a slush fund for Wilmington projects. We’re done begging for road repairs while our money goes north. I’ll fight to ensure that for every dollar the 41st District sends to Dover, a dollar comes back to fund our roads, schools, and first responders. I'll be in the room where decisions are made by the majority party, and I'll demand our fair share to keep our local economy moving.

  • Agriculture is the backbone of our economy. I’ll champion "Right to Repair" laws to keep our farmers in the field and out of the repair shop, beef up protections against frivolous complaints from wealthy HOAs who want to turn our community into the place they left, and DEMAND protections to preserve our wetlands and woods for the next generation of hunters, fishers, and farmers.

Meet me at my daily “office hours”

If you have a problem with a local road or a question about a new bill, you don’t have to go looking for me…

Over the years, my coffee shop has become more than just a place to grab a drink - it's a space where people come together to talk about what matters.

A representative shouldn’t be someone you only see during election season. If the shop is open, "office hours" are on. I’m not just asking for your vote. I’m offering a direct line to someone who already knows your name, your concerns, and likely your favorite morning order.
